What is CPD Point?
CPD stands for Continuous Professional Development Points, it is a way of measuring the time and quality of learning and development (L&D) activities.
What is the required CPD for my PIN/AIN renewal?
The required minimum CPD points for PIN/AIN renewal are as follows
Category Required CPD Points
Nurse Assistants: Ten (10) Points
CHN, EN, NAC & NAP
Staff Nurses/Staff Midwives up to Fifteen (15) Points
Nursing / Midwifery Officers
Senior Nursing/Midwifery Officer/ Twenty (20) Points
Health Tutor/Assistant Lecturers and above
How do I get my CPD point?
To get your CPD point you need to download WCEA App from the App Store or Playstore and register to get started.
A step-by-step guide to register WCEA app and get your CPD points
Step 1: Go to your browser and type https://engagement.wcea.education/nmcg or click here to register for the WCEA app. You Should have something like the image below;
Fill in all the required information click continue. You will receive an email with your login details.
Step 2: Wait Patiently for your Login details which will be sent via your email in the format
Username: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Password: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Step 3: Go to the Apple AppStore or Google play store and search for the “WCEA” app and download, alternatively, you can use the link below to download the app

Download on Google Play (for Android)
You can as well use the WCEA online learning Management system LMS for those who do not have smartphones and want to use computers, Here is the link

Step 4: After downloading the app, Tap on Open and input the details that were sent via your email
Unfortunately, the app restricted taking of screenshots hence could not provide clearer images.
Step 5: Now take any course of your choice and pursue it, after successfully completing you will receive a certificate.
The first image is the home screen of the app on Andriod, second is a course the user is enrolled in named “Nursing Informatics” a 3 hr or 3 cpd point course.
The third image shows the list of CPDS obtained by the user and points displayed in hours beside each course,
alternatively, those who have done some training/workshop in their facilities with accredited agencies or workshops can enter their details in their in-service training logbook by taping on the last tab to the right in the first image below and on the plus sign on the top right corner in the third image.
To add external workshops enter details of your cpd accredited workshop and submit.
YOUR TOTAL CPD POINT IS THE HOURS OF COURSES PURSUED, THIS MEANS TO GET TOTAL REQUIRED CPD IS TO ADD UP ALL THE HOURS OF EACH COURSE TAKEN WHICH MUST NOT BE LESS THAN THE REQUIRED POINTS PER YOU CATEGORY STATED ABOVE.
