The 13th Moderator who is also the Second Moderator of the General Assembly of The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana Rt. Rev. Dr. Seth Senyo Adigi was said to have given up the ghost this morning at the Ho Teaching Hospital, this morning. According to information gathered by Plus233.com, he was battling with his health for some time now.
The Outgoing Moderator is yet to handover to the moderator elect Reverend Dr. Lt. Col. (Rtd) Bliss Agbeko in December before his demise.
The 65-year-old was commissioned as a pastor of the church in 1989 after completing a degree course in Theology from Trinity Theological College at the University of Ghana and proceeded to Eden Theological Seminary, United States of America for his Master and Doctorate. He serve as district Pastor at Peki in the Volta Region, Secondi Takoradi in the Western Region where he managed several branches with a track record of increasing membership and branches even to the Ivory Coast.
Dr. Agidi also served as the principal of the E.P Theological Seminary-Peki, and many boards such as the E.P University Council, E. P Theological Seminary and member of international missionary organizations. He is also the founder and president of Shepherd Centre of the Aged, a non-governmental organization affiliated to the church. He is a teacher by profession and married with four children.
He was inducted as the moderator of the EPCG in 2015 held at the Dela Cathedral at the church’s headquarter in Ho after his Predecessor Very Rev. Francis Amenu.
According to Sources, there would be an emergency General Assembly Executive Meeting on Thursday October 15th, 2020 in Ho at 10:00 am to deliberate on the way forward.
