Kuami Eugene has broken the odds to win the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (21VGMA) artiste of the year after two years the honour was bestowed on the late Ebony Reigns.
He beats Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal Diana Hamilton among others for the awards.
He also won the highlife artiste of the year, making him win a total of two awards during the two nights of the ceremony.
The night also saw other artistes including Kofi Kinaata winning three awards for his “Things Fall Apart” song.
Kofi Kinaata won the writer of the year, highlife song of the year and the Vodafone Most Popular song of the year.
Not only the “King Move” leader’s star sparkled but the night also favoured Fameye, as he got the new artiste of the year while Kofi Mole won Hip hop song of the year with J Derobie winning Reggae/dancehall song of the year.
Sarkodie also won from two categories including best collaboration and Best International collaboration of the year while Kwesi Arthur was crowned the Best rapper of the year.
