Ghana Armed Forces recruitment/Enlistment for 2021/2022 with step by step guidelines and requirements

The Ghana Armed Forces have officially opened the 2021/2022 recruitment and provided the Requirements, Procedures, Eligibility, Scratch Card, and Deadline for the 2021 recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces. This Article includes 2021 Enlistment into the Ghana Armed Forces, Entry Requirements and General Eligibility for recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces. Recruitment into the Ghana Army, Ghana Navy and Ghana Air Force is currently opened to the general public.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment 2021 Eligibility

1. Eligible applicants should:

• Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
• Be of good character.
• Not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years by 06 June 2021 for Regular Commission, and not more than 30 years by 02 May 2021 for Short Service Commission.
• Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.
• Not be bonded.
• Not be married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
• Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5’6”) for males and 1.60m (5’4”) for females.

For Military Police; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9“) and 1.70m (5’ 7”) for females

•      Must have the following:

(1) BECE certification with Six (6) Passes at BECE including English and Mathematics.

(2) WASSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (Not less than C6) including Core English and Core Mathematics.

(3) OR SSSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (not less than D) including Core English and Core Mathematics.

(4) OR GCE ‘O’ & ‘A’ Levels certification with Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE ‘A’ Level.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (ARMY/NAVY/AIR FORCE)

• ENGINEER CORPS
• Architecture Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Architecture, be a registered member of Ghana Institute of Architects and must not be more than 35 years of age by 02 may 2021.
• LEGAL: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should not be more than 30 years by 02 may 2021 and must have a First Degree from a recognized University or equivalent Professional Institution in any of the following:

Bachelor of Law, LLB.

Barrister at Law (BL) certificate.

Must have done Pupillage and 3 years Post Call working experience.

    MEDICAL Officer (Medical Services)

• Medical and Dental Specialist Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, the applicant should have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited institution plus a relevant post-graduate qualification to the level of Fellowship or its equivalent from an accredited College. Applicants must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 40 years of age by 02 may 2021.

• Medical Officer and Dental Surgeon Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, the applicant should have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited University/Institution. Must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana. At least one (1) year working experience after housemanship in a recognized health facility and must not be more than 35 years of age by 02 may 2021.
• Pharmacist Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have Bachelor/Doctor of Pharmacy (BPharm/PharmD) from an accredited University/Institution. Applicant must have at least two (2) years of working experience as a Pharmacist in an accredited health facility and must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Ghana. Must not be more than 30 years of age by 02 may 2021.
• Physician Assistant (Medical) Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Physician Assistantship or its equivalent. Must have completed the mandatory clinical rotation and practised for at least three (3) years post permanent registration. Applicants with First Degree not below Second Class Lower in Physician Assistantship plus Advanced Diploma in Community Medicine and Health who have worked for at least two (2) years could also apply. Applicants must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 02 may 2021.
• Nursing/Health Tutor Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery or MSc/MA in Nursing/Midwifery with postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Education. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. At least one (1) year teaching experience in an accredited Nursing/Midwifery institution is required and must not be more than 35 years of age by 02 may 2021.
• Specialized Nurses Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following nursing specialties; Critical Care, Emergency Care, ENT, Ophthalmic, Peri-operative Paediatrics, and Dialysis. At least two (2) years working experience post permanent registration in a recognized health facility is required. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 02 may 2021.

• Midwifery Officer Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Midwifery. Must have completed the mandatory clinical rotation and have practiced for at least three (3) years post permanent registration. Applicants with Registered Midwifery (RM) certificate in addition to the First Degree in Midwifery must have practised for two (2) years post permanent registration. All applicants should not be more than 33 years of age by 02 may 2021 and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
• Certified Registered Anaesthetist Recruitment: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Anaesthesia and at least three (3) years work experience in an accredited health facility. Applicants with a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Anaesthesia plus Advanced Diploma in Nurse Anaesthesia and at least two (2) years working experience in an accredited health facility are eligible to apply. All must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 02 may 2021.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Chaplain.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should be and have the following:

First Degree not below Second Class Lower (BA) in Theology or Religion from a recognized University/Theological Seminary/College.

An ordained minister of the Methodist, Presbyterian, Evangelical Presbyterian, SDA and the Church of Pentecost and be recommended for commissioning into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of the Church.

A minimum of four (4) years pastoral working and probation/internship experience including two (2) years post ordination service in the pastoral field.

Ability to speak English and at least one of the main Ghanaian languages fluently.

Must not be more than 35years of age by 02 may 2021.

• Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Imam: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should be and have the following:

First Degree not below Second Class Lower in Islamic Theology (Religion) from a recognized University, Islamic Institution or College.

An Alim Phedeen (Islamic Theologian).

Fluent in both spoken Arabic and English Languages.

Ability to read and write good Arabic and English Languages.

Practised as Imam for four (4) years and be recognized by a recognized Islamic Religious Institution/Body in Ghana.

Recommended for commission into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of a recognized Islamic body in Ghana and must not be more than 35 years of age by Thursday 02 May 2021.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Forces Pay Corps: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should not be more than 30 years of age by 02 may 2021 and must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower and a Masters Degree from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:

Accounting.

Finance.

Economics.

Commerce.

Auditing.

Alternatively, applicants with CA (Ghana), CIMA, ACCA, CPA, ICSA are eligible.

• Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment Into Ordnance Service: In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should not be more than 30 years of age by 02 may 2021 and must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower and a Master’s Degree or post-graduate diploma or certificate from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment 2021 Application Process and Procedures

The mode of application for the Ghana Armed Forces recruitment 2020 is an online application. However to get a sample of Ghana Armed Forces recruitment forms for the 2021 recruitment visit the Ghana Armed Forces portal.

HOW TO APPLY For Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment 2020

Eligible Applicants should acquire a scratch card at FIFTY GHANA CEDIS (GH₵50.00) from the following designated Post Offices.

Then gently scratch gently to reveal the “PIN” code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.

Afterward Log on to the recruitment portal at http://www.gafrecruitment.com with any of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome.

Then read through the entry requirements thoroughly.

Afterward, Click on the Apply Now Tab to open the applicant authentication page.

Then enter your card Serial Number, PIN code and select your preferred Arm of Service, type of commission, and click “Submit”.

Afterward, enter your personal details and take note of the following from pages 1 to 3:

Page 1: Select your desired vacancy and provide all other required data.

Page 2: Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph of dimension (200 x 180 pixels), enter a valid e-mail address, personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456) and enter any other required data.

Page 3: Enter the results of only the three required core subjects on your WASSCE/SSCE results slip, that is; CORE MATHEMATICS AND CORE ENGLISH. Enter your WASSCE or SSSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSSCE results slip Serial Number and select a Tertiary Institution from the list of schools.

NB: Each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip, First Degree/Certificate) to be uploaded, should not exceed 1 (One) Megabyte and should be in JPEG picture format only.

Afterward, Click on the Preview button to see a summary page of all data provided. Read through this page carefully and click on the back button, if there are any modifications to be made.

Then click on the submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.

Afterward, print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it if you are shortlisted.
