Two Police Officers in critical condition as secessionist group holds three hostage, block V/R roads

Roads to and out of the Volta Region have been blocked by persons suspected to be part of the Homeland Study Group.

The group has also taken three Police Officers hostage with two said to be in critical condition even as they prevent people from moving in or out of the Volta Region of Ghana.

According to the group, the move is to compel government to declare independence for the Western Togoland.

TopStories Ghana‘s Jessica Amenyo reports that more than 300 vehicles are stuck in traffic as several road blocks have been mounted on the roads by members of the secessionist group.

Also it has been alleged that a man was shot by the military at Juapong for raising high the flag of the group, some has also invaded the Police stations armouries.
